my computer is seven years old..and very slow but should i wait until Vista has all the bugs worked out. I was warned by a salesman in Staples not to buy vista for at least one year.

Your system will probably not run Vista anyways. But if it could, wait at least 6 months until some bugs are worked out. I rather not pay Microsoft 300 dollars to be a beta tester for Vista, when XP works fine for me..

No. No one can compete with them. It’s not their fault that everyone chose to use their system for business and home. They put out a good product that was needed at the time (ie: Win 3.1 and Win 95). People started buying it. You can’t begrudge a company for their sucess.

What chud… Microsoft has been releasing operating systems and programs to the general public using us as BETA TESTERS – BUT MAKING US PAY, that’s why there are constant “fixes” released and “updates” they are handling the issues as they come to their attention, but Microsoft knows this… They release the software in an uncomplete form so that they beat other programmers to the market and they can still charge the unreasonable amounts they charge. Microsoft has the grip on the industry because of this fact but it’s faulty logic will have a price in the long run.
